An original, limited edition drypoint etching from a copper plate. Ancient tree called Magog, near Glastonbury Tor. Edition of 12. My inspirations include Ian Miller, Goya, Bosch, William Morris and Edward Burne-Jones and dark folk tales from British history.
Each etching takes about 16 hours to prepare on the plate. Then I go to the print studio and print them one by one on a Rochat press – each print takes about half an hour to ink up the plate and then put through the press by hand (not allowing for duds when the paper hasn’t been at the right wetness etc!). Printed on the highest-quality, heavyweight Hahnemühle paper. NB: Measurement is image itself. Paper size is circa 20x15cm. Contact direct for framed option. £90.
